Melody Waldecker was visiting her sick mother in Virginia when she became the victim of a carjacking committed by Jose Aguilar-Martinez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador.
 
The suspect fled the scene, striking Waldecker with her vehicle, according to investigators.
